The Strassburg Sock (Regular)

This item qualifies for Runner's Edge Club Benefits

This easy to use, inexpensive device is designed to keep tension on the tissue (plantar fascia) so it heals in a stretched position at night. In this way many users find a reduction of their morning pain, some have noticed a reduced recovery time and yet others have reduced the need for medications.    When worn as prescribed, it does not allow the plantar fascia to contract while in the prone or supine position. The device holds the ankle and forefoot joints in a position of slight dorsiflexion that prevents a position of plantarflexion, that is the plantar fascia is not allowed to contract.    In addition the involuntary stretching of the plantar fascia over a long period of time helps to strengthen the foot's arch.

Bought  for my son who has plantar fasciitis. He has noticed improvement from using the sock. He has also been taking fish oil and tumeric with bromelain in conjunction with wearing the sock.

Plantar Faciitus Relief August 12, 2014
Reviewer: Dru from MT United States
The is sock well made, comfortable if you follow the directions, easy to use and gives relief while sleeping. I gave it 4 stars (and not 5) because I've only used it for a week and that is not long enough for healing to take place.

tendinosis vs. tendonitis May 19, 2014
Reviewer: Dale from Columbia, MO United States
I wasted months figuring out that I have tendinosis, not tendinitis.  This product has helped to reduce the pain after only four nights of use.  I also tape the area with kinesiolgy tape during the day, do the eccentric strengthening exercises 2-3 times daily and do not run at all.  I'm guardedly optimistic now
