Allie has been in the store since the day she was born. She is the daughter of the owners and has literally grown up here. She decided she loved the running community and wanted to be surrounded every day by it so she has now been officially working here for 15 years. You can find her in most social media videos promoting the store and being hilarious. She is our apparel/accessories buyer and she will always have you running in style! Her biggest running accomplishment so far has been running the NYC Marathon. She plans to run more marathons in the future but right now her biggest marathon is motherhood! Her favorite activity at the moment is going on runs with her little one and enjoying all the new miles of adventure!

  • Operations Manager

I have been running at various levels for 30 years including high school/college track, post collegiate track, road racing and recreational running.

I run now so I can eat ice cream and drink beer. The best part of working at Runner's Edge is sharing my experience with our customers and helping them on the road to better running.

I've been running for over 40 years and really enjoy just the freedom of being outside, and "taking it all in". For me, it's as much mental therapy as it is physical fitness, and you feel good about doing something positive that will improve both your health and well-being. It's almost a form of meditation. There's also something about the camaraderie of running with a group, meeting people, and making new friends. And then there's competitive running. Running against the clock, running against your competitors, and running against yourself. Running harder and faster than you ever thought possible. When you train hard and push your body to its absolute limit, and then fulfill your racing goals; it's an amazing feeling of accomplishment and satisfaction. It's hard work at times; but the rewards far outshine the pain. Your sore muscles are your badges of honor.

I started running in 1979. My marathon debut was the 1985 NYC Marathon where I ran 2:50:33. I love to continue to challenge myself and compete in road races on the Master’s circuit from Washington D.C. to Boston, and Atlanta Georgia. My goal this season is to win the Master’s Division in every race I run.

Running calms my mind. My favorite distances to run are the 5K and the 10K. I have run 6 marathons with a PR of 2:59 in Philly! I have been helping people find their perfect shoe for the last 6 years and continue to run leisurely twice a week.

I grew up in Massapequa and settled there as an adult until a job relocation in the year 2000 when I moved my family and myself to upstate NY in the town of Fayetteville-Manlius. I started running in 1987 with my first marathon the same year. I ran a total of 3 marathons all in NYC. Six years ago, at the age of 60 I started taking swimming lessons and today I mix the running with Triathlons. I have worked for Runner’s Edge since I have been back on Long Island for over two years. I enjoy helping people get fitted properly in shoes for running or everyday general use. What I like best about running, triathlons and working at Runner’s Edge are the nice people I have met and the friends I have gained over the years!

Marie has 21 years fitting walkers and runners in their shoes! She continues to use her creative edge while dressing the window in the Huntington store and organizing the merchandise on the salesfloor.

Stephen only started running in his mid-thirties, but got hooked very quickly. He competes in road and trail running events as well as triathlons, but his passion is at the marathon and ultra-marathon distances. A typical year includes 6-8 long distance races, and with a marathon PR of 2:56 and a 50K PR of 3:37, he likes to push the pace.

“My favorite aspect of running is the exploration. Pushing my body as far as I can, and at the same time seeing new things is what makes me happy. I also enjoy hiking, kayaking, and traveling. I love running with the friends that I’ve made through running, but my favorite running partner is my daughter. “

  • Sales Associate

My days as a competitive runner are behind me, yet I still love the sport. As a coach for over 20 years, I love helping people get into a sport and a lifestyle that has given me so much. I love helping anyone get their first pair of trainers, whether they are a 9th grader or someone training for an academy or someone looking to better their fitness at any age. There is a nervousness mixed with excitement about them, and I love to let them know that they made the right choice and that if no one else at least there is one store that will have their back with advice, encouragement, and aid whenever they need it.

  • Events Marketing Coordinator

I started running over 10 years ago as a way to lose weight. It quickly turned into so much more than that. I love challenging myself and doing things that I once thought were impossible. Since then I’ve gone on to run 15 half marathons, 3 marathons and have finally mustered up the guts to dabble in the ultra marathon world!

  • Sales Associate

I started running nearly 14 years ago as a means to keep off the weight once I quit smoking. What started as a daily 30 min speed workout on the treadmill (yes I know, rookie move) became a love affair with distance running. I most recently ran a PR at my 27th marathon with a time of 3:27:06. I love this sport and the people it’s brought into my life. There is something special about that connection you create with another runner once they have kept a lookout for you while you sneak into the woods to handle your business. Seriously though, the running community is truly my favorite and being able to come to work and help others find the proper shoe while hearing their own stories has brought me a great deal of joy.

  • Operations Manager

I'm not a runner but I feel like I ran a marathon with 17 yrs + experience in the running industry from inventory control to management. I love what I do and enjoy serving the running community.

I was Second-Team All-American for the indoor one-mile in 2022 and have earned 4x All-Academic honors. My aspirations as a runner are to be world-class and one day make an Olympic Team.

  • Sales Associate

I’m Ryan, and I’ve been running competitively for over 6 years now, with 4 more to come through club running when I start my college career this coming fall.
